GLENMORA, LA MARCH 15 THUNDER VALLEY XTREME RUN POSTPONED

MOORESVILLE, NC - Officials at Thunder Valley Speedway in Glenmora, LA
notified Xtreme DirtCar Series Officials today that they are postponing the
March 15 XDCS event due to wet grounds caused by excessive rain in recent
weeks.

"We've had a lot of rain here over the past couple of weeks and people seem
to be worried about the threat of war," Thunder Valley Speedway owner Jackie
Thacker said.  "I'm also worried about the threat of more rain next week in
the days leading up to the race."

Xtreme DirtCar Series officials will be announcing a replacement event in
the near future for the SPEED Channel television schedule to replace the
Glenmora event.  XDCS officials will also be working with Thacker to find a
date to reschedule the March 15 event later in the season.

"We're disappointed for everyone involved, but we understand that rain can
really play havoc in the area," XDCS President Doug Bland said.  "With
Jackie Thacker's concerns about the bad weather they've had and the forecast
for more, combined with the uncertain state of world affairs, we agreed with
him it better for all parties involved to look for a different date."

Thunder Valley Speedway and the Xtreme DirtCar Series have had a long
history with the elements.  The event was rained out in 2001, and the 2000
and 2002 events were also hampered by rain.

The next event for the XDCS will be a 50-lap $10,000-to-win race at Carolina
Speedway in Gastonia, NC on April 11, followed by another 50-lap
$10,000-to-win event at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC on April 12.

Deery Series champion, rookie of the year
receive Petersen Aluminum contingencies
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (March 7) - Petersen Aluminum continues a unique contingency program this season for the Deery Brothers Summer Series.
Both the champion and the rookie of the year in the annual tour for I.M.C.A. Sunoco Late Models will receive 10 sheets of aluminum from the Elk Grove Village, Ill., manufacturer.
The program was introduced last year and as in 2002, both awards will be redeemable through Petersen. Certificates will be mailed to the champion and top rookie from the I.M.C.A. home office in mid-September.
Drivers must display two Petersen Aluminum decals on their race car to be eligible. Those decals will be available during pre-race tech at each Deery Series event.
Petersen Aluminum manufactures and sells painted aluminum and mill finish aluminum sheets, extrusions and stain-less steel and maintains a strong racing customer base in the Midwest.
Questions about Petersen-made products can be made by calling (800) 323-1960 or via the www.pac-racing.com website.
"The addition of Petersen Aluminum to the Deery Brothers Summer Series contingency awards program last year was a successful venture, so 2003 will see the same partnership," I.M.C.A. Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. "We are pleased that Petersen Aluminum recognizes this series as one of the best in America."
Opening night for the 14-date series is set for Saturday, March 29 at Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa.

YOUNG MIKE GULAR READY TO CREATE CAREER HIGHLIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA MARCH 8, 2003 . . . When young Mike Gular, the popular NASCAR Modified racer at Grandview Speedway, was recently asked what the highlight of his race career had been so far, the 19-year-old racer said, "I have no career highlights so far. When I win a couple of features at Grandview Speedway this season that will be my career hightlights."
Mike Gular is optimistic about the new season of stock car racing at the Berks County one-third-mile, banked-clay oval. It all gets started officially on Saturday, April 5th, 6 p.m. when Patriot Bank sponsors the season opener, kicking off the 41st consecutive season of stock car racing at Grandview Speedway.
"I haven't won any features yet but I have had some strong showings at Grandview and in late season events I have run in Delaware. We have a new car, a DIRT WHEELS chassis and a new engine builder in New Jersey based Leroy Denny. We are really excited about the new season and being able to get to victory lane, "said the Harleysville, PA driver.
"We are planning to run a full schedule of events at Grandview Speedway. We also want to run some events at Big Diamond Raceway and Susquehanna Speedway when the schedule allows. However our focus is on having a very strong season at Grandview."
Gular, son of former Grandview modified ace Rudy Gular (now the race team owner), has great respect for drivers like Craig VonDohren and Jeff Strunk. "I respect drivers who have worked their way up through the sport. I really respect what former Grandview racer Fred Rahmer has been able to do. He started at Grandview, won a lot of races and championships and now is one of the top sprint car racers in the country. I go down to his shop often since he is just down the road from where I live," said Gular.
The Mike Gular racing effort is sponsored by T.H.Properties and TakFul Builders (who just happen to be Mike's employer) along with support from ReMax Realtors (Pennsburg and Green Lane), A.M. Godshall Architectural Millwork, C&C Ford, Windover Fabrication, Davis Lawn & Landscaping, Drakis Chiropractic, E.C.Glover Fencing, Salford Web Design and 4 Star Lettering.
And help for the Gular NASCAR Winston Racing Series presented by Dodge Modified team comes from Tim Nordan, Pat Hart, Troy Gibson and Rudy Gular. Rudy offers his advice on driving the race car based on his years of experience but for the most part stays in the background to let his son grow his racing career on his own. Veteran crew chief Dick Egolf is in charge of the team.
Gular is anxious for the season to start. He wants to create his "career highlights" and be a factor in the chase for the very lucrative NASCAR Modified title at Grandview Speedway.
All teams will have an opportunity to shake down their new equipment for the 2003 season when a "Free-to-the-public" practice session is presented on Saturday, March 29th starting at 12 noon. All divisions of racing competition are invited to participate.
And the chase for the "big bucks" offered in Saturday night racing competition at Grandview Speedway will start with the Patriot Bank sponsored season opener on Saturday, April 5th, 6 p.m. NASCAR Modifieds and Late Models will be featured. A 40-lap feature for the Modifieds will top the program.
Track management did want to remind everyone planning to enter the competition area at Grandview Speedway they will need a NASCAR license. The track will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 22nd. Vicki Gehris will be there to sell licenses and answer questions about the coming season.
A color brochure that outlines the 2003 season is available by sending a self addressed stamped envelope, $.37 postage, to ESC, Inc., 1448 Hollywood Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047-7417. Ernie Saxton, at that address, can also provide information on marketing through motorsports at Grandview. Telephone 215.752.7797.
Information on racing at Grandview Speedway is available at 610.754.7688 or visit their website at www.grandviewspeedway.com.
The speedway, one of the most popular sports attractions in Berks County and right on the border of Montgomery County, is located on Passmore Road, just off Route 100 in Bechtelsville, PA, 10 miles north of Pottstown
