CRUMMY WEB DESIGNS LAUNCHES NEW HAGERSTOWN WEBSITE

By Jarrod Lehman

Hagerstown, MD --- Frank Plessinger’s Hagerstown Speedway’s website just underwent a facelift and complete overhaul in an effort to better serve the fans, sponsors and race teams who frequent the high-profile race track. The “new” website has been redesigned and is being maintained by Crummy Web Designs, headed up by noted longtime racing photographer Steve Crumbacker. The newly revamped website is located at: www.hagerstownspeedway.com and many new features have been incorporated.

“We plan to keep the site updated as quickly as possible,” explained new webmaster Crumbacker, who once maintained the popular SPEEDWAY IMAGES website. “Easy navigation is one feature we felt was important.  We will post the race winners immediately following the conclusion of the event.  Photos should be posted within a few hours of the conclusion of the event.  We will keep you up to date on race day rain delays or cancellations as soon as they occur.  Points will be updated as soon as I receive them from our handicapper.  Media releases will be posted as soon as I receive them.  We want to make it as user friendly as we can.”

“We want the fans and drivers to be able to access the site and find what ever information they need, lodging, directions, schedule, admission, track records, past history,   track champions, rules & regulations and even the weather. We’ll also be soon adding a page on what is available at the concession stand!”

Crumbacker also envisions many other additions that will make the Hagerstown Speedway a first class website effort.

“We are looking at possibly of taking online ticket orders for special events, and selling Speedway apparel online,” commented Crumbacker. “This is awhile down the road. The site is in its infancy and you may notice changes during your visits.  We still have a lot of past information to be added.  We are also exploring the possibility of a race day pit cam to see some live still photos as the racing event progresses.”

Hagerstown Speedway will hold its season opener on Sunday February 23 at 1:00 PM sharp for the ‘East Coast Opener’ featuring Late Models and a Syracuse Qualifier Modified program. Each feature will be 35 laps. The weekly program will commence on Sunday afternoon March 2 at 1:00 PM. For additional information: www.hagerstownspeedway.com.
